Top 5 Most Trusted Sources of PPACA Information, According to Public Poll

A majority of people say that they would trust information from physicians and nurses about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, according to The Kaiser Family Foundation Health Tracking Poll.

The survey was conducted between Aug. 13 and Aug. 19. It includes responses from 1,503 adults.

 

The survey also found that while only 8 percent of people said that they would trust information regarding the PPACA from the news media, 81 percent said that the news media is their main source of PPACA information.

 

The top five most trusted sources of PPACA information, according to the survey, are:

 

•    Physician or nurse — 44 percent
•    Federal agencies — 34 percent
•    State agencies — 33 percent
•    Local pharmacist — 30 percent
•    An employer — 21 percent
