Top 3 Qualities NPs & PAs Value in Work Assignments

 

Work-life balance is the most important quality in work assignments for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, according to “Advanced Practice Trends 2012-2013,” released by Jackson Healthcare, a healthcare staffing company.

The report includes responses from 395 survey respondents. The survey was conducted online from November through December 2012.

 

Here are the top qualities NPs and PAs seek in work assignments:

 

•    Work-life balance — 59 percent
•    Pay — 57 percent
•    Control over schedule — 34 percent

 

Other qualities valued by NPs and PAs include friendliness, location, independence, training and working in a team environment.
