Top 10 States With The Highest Numbers of Female Medical School Graduates

New York had the highest number of female medical school graduates in the country in 2011, according to State Health Facts, a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

There were a total of 8,396 female medical school graduates in the United States in 2011.

 

The top 10 states with highest numbers of female medical school graduates were:

 

1. New York — 910    
2. Texas — 628    
3. Pennsylvania — 562    
4. Illinois — 529    
5. California — 520    
6. Ohio — 424    
7. Michigan — 311    
8. Massachusetts — 299    
9. Florida — 258    
10. District of Columbia — 252
