Here are five insights:
1. The 20,000 square-foot care center is home to primary and specialty care physicians. The facility is the eighth center for The Villages Health.
2. Four specialists in orthopedics, neurology, gynecology and dermatology will be housed permanently at the care center. Cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, general surgery and gastroenterology specialists will rotate through the hospital.
3. Thomas Krizmanich, MD, will lead orthopedic services at the care center. He is underwent fellowship training at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
4. John Castaldo, MD, will head neurology efforts at The Brownwood Care Center. He is board certified in psychiatry and neurology.
5. The Villages Health hopes the hybrid style of care between specialists and primary care physicians will benefit patients and providers.
