Here are five highlights:
1. The new 26,056-square-foot facility houses the new Steadman Clinic, Steadman Philippon Research Institute’s surgical skills lab, robotics lab, regenerative medicine lab, biomotion lab and administrative offices.
2. The expansion cost $68 million.
3. While the clinic as well as the surgical skills and robotics labs started operations in January 2017, the biomotion lab and regenerative sports medicine began running this week.
4. Richard Steadman, MD, founded the Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute in 1988.
5. The Steadman Philippon Research Institute bears the name of Marc J. Philippon, MD, who serves as the institute’s co-chairman and board member.
