The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics to implement EHR system across 60+ offices

Bethesda, Md.-based The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is moving all of its 60-plus offices to one EHR system from Modernizing Medicine, according to a June 23 press release.

Four things to know:

1. The practice aims to streamline patient care and improve the patient experience with the enterprise-wide transition.

2. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Modernizing Medicine will also provide its practice management and analytics solutions.

3. CAO hopes the systems will streamline billing, provide consistent care and share clinical information among its providers.

4. Founded in 2013 by more than 20 independent practices, CAO now has more than 160 physicians in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
