Texas orthopedic group resumes total knee replacements

Houston-based INOV8 Surgical resumed total knee replacement procedures in accordance with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s recent guidance easing restrictions on some elective surgeries.

Three things to know:

1. INOV8 Surgical specializes in joint replacement procedures, including robotic-assisted surgeries, according to its website.

2. In February, INOV8 Surgical became the first practice in Texas to acquire Think Surgical’s TSolution One system, which assists surgeons with implant placement in total knee replacements. 

3. The practice features four orthopedic surgeons — Stefan Kreuzer, MD, Dharmpal Vansadia, MD, Jason Brannen, MD, and Nicholas Maassen, MD.
