Texas hospital to build $40M orthopedic center, recruit up to 40 physicians

Houston Methodist will begin construction on a $40 million orthopedic medical office building in January 2020, Houston Business Journal reports.

Four things to know:

1. The 150,000-square-foot facility will expand orthopedic services for Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital in Nassau Bay, Texas.

2. The new Houston-based center will house Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at Clear Lake.

3. HMCLH, one of seven community hospitals operated by Houston Methodist, aims to add up to 40 physicians in the coming years.

4. Construction is set for completion in February 2021.
