The hospital is only the second in Texas to earn the designation, according to Woodlands Online. Its hip and knee, shoulder, and spine programs have all been accredited by DNV GL Healthcare.

Earlier this month, Midland (Texas) Memorial Hospital and the Total Joint and Spine Center was also designated as an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence after receiving initial certification for its spine surgery program.
