Texas hospital awarded Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission

Central Texas Medical Center was awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for advanced total hip replacement, according to the Corridor News.

The certification is awarded in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and focuses on admission, hospitalization, rehabilitation services and follow-up after surgery. The hospital underwent an unannounced review to earn the certification.

“Being named a Joint Center of Excellence for total hip replacements means we are succeeding in providing the best care to our joint patients,” said medical center President and CEO Anthony Stahl. “This honor was made possible by our entire orthopedic staff.”
