Tennova Healthcare receives The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for total joint replacement

Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tenn., earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Certification, according to ClarksvilleNOW.com.

Tennova Healthcare is a health system comprised of 12 hospitals and more than 80 physician clinics. The combined network has 2,000-plus licensed beds, 1,600 physicians on the combined active medical staffs and 7,000-plus employees, with almost 60,000 admissions and 373,000 emergency department visits per year.

In April, Joint Commission experts evaluated Tennova’s compliance with total hip and total knee replacement-specific requirements. The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 21,000 healthcare organizations in the U.S.
