Telemedicine reimbursement parity status for all 50 states

The American Telemedicine Association named the best states for telemedicine.

All states currently allow coverage for telemedicine to some degree, and seven states adopted policies to improve coverage since data was collected for the report: Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Rhode Island, Utah and West Virginia. The states with a telemedicine parity law are:

• Indiana

The states with partial parity laws are:

The states with proposed parity bills are:

• Kansas
• New Jersey

 

No parity legislative activity:

*Delaware and South Carolina lowered telemedicine coverage or adopted restricting policies since the 2016 report.
