Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic adds surgical robot

Tallahassee (Fla.) Orthopedic Clinic added Stryker’s Mako Smart Robotics system, the clinic said Jan. 12.

The system, which allows the surgeon to control implants’ alignment and positioning, will be used for total and partial knee replacements, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. 

The practice’s more than 70 physicians and providers perform 12,500 surgeries annually at seven clinics.
