The group is making the transition because performing cases at a high-volume location leads to better outcomes, according to group president Perry Cooke, MD. The group has also been working with St. Joseph’s to develop a comprehensive orthopedics program, according to the report.
As a result of the move, St. Joseph’s expects its orthopedic patient volume to increase by 50 percent.
