The Profile-ESP offers spine surgeons an analytics and reporting service to make standard spine X-rays more clinically useful. The technology had its beta release in 2018 and Statera will focus on a national-scale launch over the coming months. The new product builds on Ortho Kinematics’ VMA technology.
“While the VMA provides biomechanical insights that can transform the way spine treatment decisions are made, the test has experienced reimbursement challenges and can be disruptive to workflow for office-based spine doctors,” said Co-Founder and Managing Partner of MB Venture Partners Gary Stevenson. “The Profile ESP from Statera Spine does not experience the same reimbursement challenges and is easily integrated into spine imaging workflow.”
