Standardization of Operations is Key for Reducing Healthcare Costs

According to Dr. Kella, other industries such as the restaurant industry have been careful ensuring consistency. People return to restaurants because they receive their favorite dish prepared in the same way every time. Other companies also lower variation to ensure quality and long-lasting customer loyalty.

 

Dr. Kella writes that this variation in healthcare costs needs to be addressed and standardizing best practice operations can help prevent waste in the healthcare industry.
