The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for total hip and knee replacement certification was awarded to Lexington, Ky.-based St. Joseph Hospital, reports WTVQ.

A team of healthcare experts from the Joint Commission interviewed physicians, patients and staff at the hospital, as well as determining compliance with orthopedic-related certification standards.
