The closure will end the hospital’s 100-year presence in Houston, which features 15 orthopedic physicians including two spine surgeons, according to its website.
Douglas Barnes, MD, is chief of staff at the 40-bed hospital, which provides pediatric spine, orthopedic and sports medicine care.
The hospital’s closure is driven by plans to build a premier hospital in the area.
The consolidation of services will be completed in the first half of 2021.
