The practice previously applied for the ASC’s certificate of need, according to an Aug. 3 Facebook post. Now plans for the ASC will go to the State Health Planning and Development Agency for review.

The ASC would have six operating rooms and two procedure rooms. It will also be equipped with a surgical robot for joint replacements.

If approved, the ASC is expected to open within the next two years.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
