The expansion marks South Island’s fourth location, according to an Oct. 2 press release.

Together with St. John’s hospital, the system has created an orthopedic pathway program in Rockaway that helps surgical patients through their entire journey.

Paul Kubiak, MD, a surgeon with 20 years of patient experience, will lead the new collaboration. He will also take on the role of chief of orthopedic surgery at St. John’s.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
