Omaha, Neb.-based Sequel Ortho has named Stephanie Scoggins as chief payer strategy officer.
In the role, Ms. Scoggins will lead the organization’s payer strategy, including payer partnerships, specialty-care contracting, value-based care, employer relationships and commercial strategy, according to an Oct. 27 news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Scoggins previously served as vice president of partner strategy and payer engagement at Optum and SCA Health, where she led payer partnerships across a portfolio of about 90 ASCs representing $1.2 billion in net patient revenue.
“Stephanie brings a rare combination of strategic insight, payer expertise and hands-on experience building innovative healthcare partnerships,” Levi Scheppers, CEO of Sequel Ortho, said in the release. “As Sequel continues to grow, developing deeper alignment with payers and creating models that deliver value for patients, physicians and healthcare partners will be increasingly important. Stephanie is exactly the kind of leader who can help us advance that work.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
