Semmes Murphey Clinic, Baptist Memorial Health Care open new neurology center: 5 key notes

Baptist Memorial Health Care and Semmes Murphey Clinic, both based in Memphis, Tenn., opened the Brain & Spine Network in Oxford, Miss., according to the Memphis Business Journal.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. The new neurology center is located within Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi Office Building.

 

2. Brain & Spine Network will offer the same neurological services, surgery, rehabilitation and neck and back pain services provided at its Memphis-based center.

 

3. Patients will also be available to all services from Semmes Murphey Clinic physicians.

 

4. Physicians leading the Brain & Spine Network include:

 

• Jay McDonald, MD, interventional pain management specialist

• LaVerne Lovell, MD, neurosurgeon

• Paul Klimo, MD, neurosurgeon

• Jon Robertson, MD, emergency neurological services specialist

 

5. The $300 million, 217-bed Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi opened in November.
