Rothman Orthopaedics opens integrative health center

Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics opened the Orthopaedic Integrative Health Center, the company said in an Oct. 22 news release.

The center, which opened Oct. 14, was created to address orthopedic inflammation, dysfunction and pain, Rothman said. It is led by Director Saloni Sharma, MD, who is also a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at Rothman.

“The OIHC combines the best of orthopedic care, integrative medicine and lifestyle medicine,” Dr. Sharma said in the release.

Rothman said the goal of the program is to optimize orthopedic recovery using methods including nutritional consultation, physical therapy, yoga, acupuncture, mindfulness and meditation, and integrative health consultation.
