Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics opened a walk-in orthopedic center in Center City Philadelphia on Nov. 2, offering evaluations without appointments for patients ages 10 and older.

The center evaluates patients with suspected fractures, sprains, strains, swollen joints, back pain and possible tears, according to a Nov. 2 news release shared with Becker’s.

“Opening in Center City allows us to better serve Philadelphia residents with care that fits their needs,” said Christian Ellison, CEO of Rothman Orthopaedics.

The opening expands Rothman’s walk-in network in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, which includes an orthopedic urgent care center in Marlton, N.J., and multiple other walk-in centers.

Rothman Orthopaedics operates 32 office locations, and its providers have surgical privileges at more than 70 facilities.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
