Rockford Spine Center welcomes new nurse practitioner — 3 highlights

Nurse practitioner Angela Johnson, MSN, recently joined Rockford (Ill.) Spine Center.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. Previously, Ms. Johnson worked as an advanced practice nurse at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Ill., for four years.

 

2. Ms. Johnson is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses-Rock River Valley Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society and Minnesota Student Nursing Association. She has also conducted research in preventing infections after knee and hip surgeries, treating lower back pain and managing osteoarthritis.

 

3. Ms. Johnson earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a post-master’s certificate from the OSF Saint Anthony College of Nursing in Rockford, Ill.
