What you should know:
1. Mr. Bateman will replace John Gleason, MD, and Douglas Lundy, MD, who served as co-presidents of the practice since 2015 and 2014, respectively. Both Dr. Gleason and Dr. Lundy will focus on their surgical practices.
2. At USPI, Mr. Bateman oversaw operations for a territory that covers 10 states and 60 surgical centers, and also served as executive director of Resurgens for five years.
