PureTech names Michael MacLean CFO: 4 things to know

PureTech Health, a science-based healthcare company, named Michael MacLean as its new CFO and executive vice president.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Mr. MacLean previously worked at Iron Mountain as CFO of its North American business, where he was in charge of $2.2 billion of annual revenue and $1 billion of EBITDA.

 

2. Before Iron Mountain, Mr. MacLean served as senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer at Biogen.

 

3. In his previous work, he’s worked with global clients in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics.

 

4. Based in Boston, PureTech works to solve the challenges faced in the healthcare industry with disruptive approaches.

 

“His wealth of experience in finance and accounting across multiple disciplines, including deal structuring and acquisitions in the healthcare sector, will be a great addition to PureTech as our growth stage companies move towards commercialization,” said Daphne Zohar, co-founder and CEO of PureTech.
