Orthopedic surgeon Timothy Ghattas, MD, has opened a private practice in Riverdale, Ga.

OrthoCare Georgia is open and welcoming patients, according to an April 3 press release. Dr. Ghattas spent years working at a large private practice before deciding to open a facility that could offer direct surgeon access, customized treatment plans and a patient-focused experience.

The practice will offer minimally invasive joint replacements, sports medicine and injury recovery, nonsurgical arthritis management and advanced spine treatment.

Dr. Ghattas has performed over 4,000 procedures, specializing in sports medicine, joint reconstruction and cartilage restoration, and serving as a team physician for the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
