Post-recession, growth rate of cost-per-case slows: 3 things to know

Following the recession that hit in 2007 and ended in 2009, cost-per-case grew more slowly than before, according to the Peterson-Kaiser Health System Tracker.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Between 2005 and 2008, cost-per-case grew 3.5 percent.

 

2. From 2008 to 2010, cost-per-case grew by 3.7 percent.

 

3. Between 2010 and 2012, cost-per-case grew by 2.2 percent only.
