Here are five highlights:
1. In November, the group is set to open an ambulatory surgery center in Merritt Island, Fla. PPOA plans to partner with orthopedic, ophthalmology, spine and other specialists.
2. The ASC will be equipped with two operating rooms and one procedure suite.
3. PPOA plans to open the initial phase of a 30,000-square-foot Merritt Island Medical Pavilion. The group will move its nearby pain management practice to the new pavilion July 30.
4. The Merritt Island Medical Pavilion will house multiple specialties. There is room to add another 7,318 square feet of medical space in the future on top of the 9,824-square-foot ASC.
5. The pain management center in Rockledge, Fla., permanently closed its doors July 20. Patients continued to see specialists at the new medical pavilion July 23.
