Penn State Health adds 18-physician orthopedic group

Penn State Health and Lancaster Orthopedic Group, both in Pennsylvania, inked an affiliation agreement that took effect Jan. 31.

Lancaster Orthopedic Group has 18 physicians and was founded in 1985, according to a Feb. 6 news release. Lancaster Orthopedic Group physicians will see patients at their existing locations along with Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. Under the agreement, Lancaster Orthopedic Group physicians will also extend their services to Berks County, and some will join the staff at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pa.

Lancaster Orthopedic Group’s board of directors will add several Penn State Health representatives.
