Tucson Orthopaedic Institute became the ninth practice affiliated with Orthopedic Care Partners platform, which has private equity backing from Varsity Healthcare Partners, according to a July 22 news release. The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., and the Orthopaedic Institute of Florida in Gainesville are also part of the platform.
Tucson Orthopaedic Institute has 33 physicians and eight clinic locations. Steven Zeiler, MD, leads the practice, and he said he wants to continue expanding in Arizona.
Orthopedic Care Partners isn’t the only platform growing quickly. U.S. Orthopaedic Partners signed its third partnership in 30 days July 21 to acquire North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic in Florence.
