The initiative aims at supporting large patient-centered studies that can address information gaps on health problems. Pragmatic studies are designed to examine the effectiveness of different care options in “real-world” settings.

PCORI also noted a number of research topics of particular interest, including alternative models of coordinated pain management in treating chronic, nonspecific musculoskeletal pain.

Interested applicants must submit letters of intent by 5 p.m. EST on May 1.
