Durham, N.C.-based EmergeOrtho opened a new orthopedic urgent care and physical therapy location in Mebane, N.C., the practice said May 20.

Boca Raton, Fla.-based West Boca Medical Center is set to open the Boca Center for Orthopedic and Spine Care in Parkland, Fla., according to a May 16 report from Tap Into Parkland.

Southlake-based Spine Team Texas promoted Vice President of Clinic Operations Justin Keller to COO.

Birmingham-based OrthoAlabama opened a satellite clinic in Pell City, Ala.

Atlanta-based Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute – Sports Medicine has relocated its Buford, Ga. office to a new location. 

Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics has created the Mansfield-based Massachusetts Complex Spine Clinic to expand access to its spine team. 

Certificate-of-need requirements in certain states are posing physician recruitment challenges for single-specialty surgery centers, Janet Carlson, Executive Director of ASCs at Commonwealth Pain & Spine, said.

Freehold, N.J.-based Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute is expanding services in Belmar, N.J., the practice said in a May 14 news release.
