An orthopedic practice in Nevada broke ground on its second location in Las Vegas.

Pensacola-based Ascension Florida and Gulf Coast and Phoenix-based Healthcare Outcomes Performance Co. are expanding their Performance Orthopedics and Spine program.

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush has opened its seventh location in Joliet, Ill., the company said Oct. 29. 

Nashville-based Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, Tennessee’s largest orthopedic surgery group, has added world-renowned hip surgeon J.W. Thomas Byrd, MD, to its team, according to an Oct. 28 report in the Williamson Herald.

Houston-based OrthoLoneStar has teamed up with Greenwich, Conn.-based Cedar Gate Technologies to bring a value-based care program for spine and orthopedic care in Texas.

Bruce Cohen, MD, has been CEO of Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina since 2016.

Twin Cities Community Hospital, a Tenet Health Central Coast hospital in Templeton, Calif., has been designated as a Blue Distinction Center+ for hip and knee replacements, Atascadero News reported Oct. 26. 

IMAC Holdings completed two new locations of The Back Space, its retail spine care clinic, according to an Oct. 26 news release.

Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain and Spine Center is looking for a chief strategy officer.
