OS1 Sports Injury Clinic to open in June

A group of Alabama orthopedic surgeons and entrepreneurs will open OS1 Sports Injury Clinic in Hoover, Ala., in June.

1. OS1 Sports Injury Clinic is an orthopedic urgent care retail concept.

2. The clinic was founded by healthcare entrepreneur Bill Dexheimer as well as Randy Johansen, Bruce Irwin, MD, Lyle Cain, MD, Jeffrey Dugas, MD, A.J. Strickland, PhD, and Kennie Bramlett, MD, among others.

3. In addition to providing orthopedic care, the clinic will have diagnostic imaging equipment on-site, and will have a team with a physician assistant and medical assistant on staff.

OS1 President and CEO Chip Vance said: “We spent a considerable amount of time with our founders refining our business model. The overwhelming consensus was there is a gap in the marketplace when it comes to conveniently and cost-effectively treating acute orthopedic injuries by providers expertly trained in sports medicine.”
