• 2013 – $413,000
• 2014 – $421,000

2. Although orthopedic surgeons have seen the second largest pay growth, behind plastic surgeons, they remain unsatisfied with their compensation.
3. Since 2011, pay satisfaction among orthopedic surgeons has dropped 4 percent. Only 48 percent of surgeons were satisfied with their salary in 2016.
