Orthopedic medtech company opens US headquarters

Ossio, an orthopedic surgery and fixation implant medtech company, has opened its U.S. headquarters in Palmetto, Fla.

The new 30,000-square-foot facility houses a manufacturing plant and surgeon training center, according to a Feb. 3 news release from Ossio.

The company expects to create about 100 new production, commercial and administrative jobs in the city within the next five years.

Through 2025, more than 65,000 Ossio implants have been used to treat orthopedic patients in the U.S.

Ossio was founded in Israel in 2014, the release said.
