The office will be a move for the current Mitchell office, according to a news release. It’s one of Orthopedic Institute’s 15 satellite locations across South Dakota, Southwest Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.

“This expansion enables us to meet the demand for non-opioid pain management and expert orthopedic and sports medicine care in Mitchell,” Orthopedic Institute CEO Lynda Barrie said in the release.

Groundbreaking is planned for June 14, and the facility is expected to open in 2023.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
