Orthopedic hospital proposed in Ohio

An orthopedic and stroke rehabilitation hospital has been proposed for a vacant mixed-use site in Seven Hills, Ohio, according to a Feb. 28 report from Cleveland.com.

The site has been in limbo for over a year after the previous developer pulled out of a mixed-use proposal that included retail space, office buildings and apartments.

The orthopedic proposal is still in its early stages, according to the report. The new developer plans to seek approval for land usage and is expected to appear at a planning commission meeting in the next one or two months.

The mayor of Seven Hills is “cautiously optimistic” about the proposed orthopedic facility, as high-paying medical salaries yield high income tax revenue for the city, according to the report.
