Here are five notes:
1. The 45,000-square-foot center in Rocky Hill, Conn., is 40 percent larger than its current Hartford location.
2. With the additional space, Orthopedic Associates of Hartford expects to handle around 15,000 cases annually.
3. Physicians will perform shoulder, knee and hip replacements, spine surgery, shoulder and knee arthroplasty, hand, wrist, elbow, foot and ankle surgery as well as pain management procedures.
4. The new facility will feature 25 patient rooms, a physical therapy center, a procedure room and seven operating rooms.
5. Physicians will also have access to robotic technology and advanced sterilization systems.
