Orthopedic Associates of Hartford opens $30M outpatient surgery center: 5 notes

The Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (Conn.) unveiled its newest outpatient surgery center in Rocky Hill, Conn.

Five notes.

1. The Rocky Hill Surgery Center officially opened Jan. 7.

2. The $30 million facility spans 48,000 square feet and serves as a center of excellence for spine surgery, total joint replacements and other orthopedic surgeries.

3. Surgeons will have access to seven operating rooms, a procedure room, robotic technology and a surgical camera system.

4. At the center, surgeons specialize in shoulder, knee and hip replacements, spine surgery, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, ankle surgery as well as interventional pain procedures, among others.

5. An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Feb. 22.
