Several orthopedic surgeons with the practice were bound under the noncompete clause, the report said. Now that the clause is expired, the number of patients those surgeons can see is in the “thousands,” Jason Sansone, MD, told the publication.

Since Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin opened in early 2023 the surgeons have seen patients at several hospitals in the region, and the group grew from 11 physicians to 13.

The practice also plans to open an ASC in the first quarter of 2026.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
