Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin has started work on a $10 million surgery center in Madison, according to an April 25 report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin opened in 2023 when a group of orthopedic surgeons broke off from Madison-based SSM Health. As of January 1, the surgeons are able to see their former patients since their noncompete clause expired.

The facility is expected to open in the first half of 2026 and will be co-owned by Healthcare Outcomes Performance.

The surgery center will total 12,000 square feet and house three operating rooms, with surgeons providing joint replacements, sports medicine care, foot and ankle surgery and spine procedures.
