Here are five things to know:

 

1. Scott Katzman, MD, is the chief surgeon of Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery, which serves patients in central and south Florida. The practice also accommodates patients that travel domestically and internationally for minimally invasive spine surgery.

 

2. Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery includes locations in Palm Beach Gardens, Altamonte Springs/Orlando, Fort Pierce, Hollywood and Fort Myers. There are also locations in New Jersey and New York.

 

3. Joining the Back Pain Centers of America network will provide Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery with tools to educate back pain patients and help patients identify if they are a candidate for minimally invasive procedures.

 

4. Dr. Katzman earned his medical degree at Jefferson College in Philadelphia and completed his residency at the University of Arizona. In addition to his practice, he has lectured internationally about minimally invasive spine techniques.

 

5. Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery also includes Jeffrey Oppenheimer, MD, Monica McPhail-Pruitt, MD, and William Lu, MD.
