Orthopaedic Institute for Children begins building new urgent care center: 5 notes

Los Angeles-based Orthopaedic Institute for Children began construction on a new urgent care center.

Here are five notes:

 

1. The new urgent care center will more than double the size of the institute’s current orthopedic trauma wing.

 

2. This is the first phase of a new construction project that will be followed by building a new physical therapy department and seven new research laboratories.

 

3. In addition, the Orthopaedic Institute for Children plans to experience various infrastructure upgrades, as the campus is more than 50 years old.

 

4. Construction will be in sequences to allow for all existing programs and services to remain open and fully operational during each phase of construction.

 

5. Focused on musculoskeletal conditions in children, the Orthopaedic Institute for Children sees 60,000 patients each year.
