Here’s what you need to know.
1. The 200,000-square foot facility will include an outpatient center, orthopedic center of excellence, breast cancer clinical spine and sports rehabilitation center.
2. Lawrence-based OrthoKansas surgeons will staff the orthopedic center.
3. No inpatient services will be available at the new medical building. If patients need inpatient services, they will be transferred to Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s main campus.
4. Lawrence Memorial Hospital executives expect the facility to be open in early 2020.
