OrthoConnecticut adds 3rd spine surgeon

A third spine surgeon arrived at Danbury-based OrthoConnecticut on Aug. 15, according to New Fairfield’s Hamlethub.

Abiola Atanda, MD, joins fellow spine specialists Robert Brady, MD, and Justin Paul, MD, at the 29-physician practice. He previously practiced at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Nashville.

Dr. Atanda specializes in navigation and robotic-assisted spine surgery for degenerative and deformity spinal conditions, as well as the treatment of trauma, tumors and infections of the spine. 

He completed his residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City and an adult and pediatric spine fellowship at Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Ky. 

“This is an incredible opportunity for me to work with a team of physicians equally committed to providing quality spine care for patients,” Dr. Atanda said. “I look forward to working alongside leaders in the field to provide specialized spine care and state-of-the-art cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery to our patients.”

Dr. Atanda will see patients at OrthoConnecticut’s offices in Danbury, Southbury and New Milford, Conn.
