Orlando (Fla.) Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute has opened a new 14,000-square-foot facility in Lake Mary, Fla.

It will be served by 12 Orlando Health surgeons specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics, according to a May 15 press release sent to Becker’s.

The facility will offer both surgical and nonsurgical care for adult and pediatric patients, as well as a walk-in clinic and rehabilitation center.

Orlando Health Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center will also open a 4,300-square-foot space on site to offer orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy. Three existing Orlando Health rehabilitation locations will consolidate into the new Lake Mary rehabilitation facility.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
