Ohio health system plans orthopedic center

Genesis HealthCare System plans to break ground on an orthopedic center in Zanesville, Ohio, in the fall, Zanesville Times Recorder reports.

Four things to know:

1. Genesis Orthopedic Center will combine the system’s orthopedic services in one location, President and CEO Matthew Perry said.

2. The center will feature physical and occupational therapy, and imaging studies. The system may expand its orthopedic team.

3. Genesis HealthCare System includes Genesis Hospital and Genesis Surgery Center in Zanesville and several outpatient care centers, according to its website.

4. The facility is expected to open in 2021.
